We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of a comprehensive data strategy. This role focuses on leveraging existing data across multiple applications to drive strategic decision-making, optimize operations, and improve data accessibility. The Data Architect will play a crucial role in developing and aligning the data architecture to meet current and future business needs while ensuring system integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a Data Strategy: Create and implement a forward-thinking data strategy that aligns with business goals and leverages existing data to provide meaningful insights.
- Data Architecture Design: Design a scalable and robust data architecture that integrates data from various systems, ensuring efficient data storage, access, and usage.
- System Integration: Lead the integration of data from multiple sources, including cloud-based and on-premises systems, to create a unified data ecosystem.
- Data Governance: Establish and maintain best practices for data management, security, privacy, and compliance, ensuring the data infrastructure meets regulatory and organizational standards.
- Data Modeling: Develop and optimize data models (logical, physical, and conceptual) to support business intelligence, analytics, and operational needs.
- Data Pipeline Development: Design and oversee the development of data pipelines, ensuring high-quality data movement, transformation, and processing.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, product teams, and technical teams to ensure the data architecture supports business objectives.
- Technology Selection: Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and technologies for data storage, integration, analytics, and visualization.
- Data Quality and Integrity: Implement processes to ensure data accuracy, quality, and integrity, addressing issues related to data redundancy, inconsistencies, and performance bottlenecks.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor industry trends and evolving technologies, continuously refining the data architecture and strategy to enhance capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years as a Data Architect or in a similar role, focusing on data strategy, system integration, and application data management.
- Strong experience in data architecture design and data governance practices.
- Proficiency in data modeling and working with relational databases, NoSQL databases, and data lakes.
- Hands-on experience with data integration tools, ETL processes, and API integration.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data storage and processing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with business intelligence and analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
- Experience with data security and regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and present complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Big Data Technologies: Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python, SQL, or R.
- Machine Learning and AI: Familiarity with integrating machine learning and AI for predictive analytics.
